Kelly McGarry is the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher and After School Coordinator at CFA.  She is also in charge of the 100-Mile Club each morning.  Ms. McGarry is originally from Rotterdam, New York.  She received her bachelor's degree in Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her master's degree in Literacy Education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.  As the oldest of six, Ms. McGarry enjoys being around children and loves being part of the learning process. 

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, running, reading, and going to the beach.  In the Spring of 2011, Ms. McGarry completed a respite foster parenting class for New Hanover County.  This past summer (2011), she worked with young children at an orphanage and church in Costa Rica.  She also worked for Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth in California.
