From I-40
- Coming into Wilmington, I-40 will become Hwy 132 South/North College Road.
- Stay straight on College Road/132 South.
- Travel approximately 7 miles from the end of I-40. Cape Fear Academy will be at 3900 South College Road (on the right).
From Hwy 74/76
- You will travel into Wilmington on Hwy 74/76 heading east.
- Coming over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the road will become one way at the bottom of the hill (Dawson Street).
- You will be at the corner of Dawson and Third Street.
- Stay straight and turn right onto 16th Street. For about 1.5 miles 16th Street will be one way. Then it becomes two way and you will then be on 17th Street.
- Go 3.5 miles - you will pass New Hanover Regional Medical Center on the left.
- Cross Shipyard Blvd.
- Stay on 17th Street and cross Independence Blvd.
- Keep going for about 2 miles where you will turn right on South College Road. Go 200 yards. Cape Fear Academy will be on your right at 3900 South College Road.
From Rt 421
- Coming into Wilmington, Rt 421 will merge onto Hwy 74 East.
- Follow the same directions above.
From Hwy 17 coming from South of Wilmington
- Traveling north on 17, you will merge onto Hwy 74 East. Follow the directions above from Hwy 74.
From Hwy 17 coming North of Wilmington
- Traveling south on Hwy 17, you will enter Wilmington on Market Street.
- Continue for several miles until you reach Highway 132 South (College Road).
- There is a large green overhead sign directing you to Carolina Beach.
- Go under the overpass at this sign and turn left onto College Road.
- You will travel approximately 5 miles on College Road.
- Cape Fear Academy will be at 3900 South College Road (on the right).
