After School Programs - Lower School
The After School Program is available to students in grades PK-5 to stay as late as 5:30 p.m. The goals of the program are to provide a warm, nurturing environment with a variety of non-academic activities such as free play, art projects, gym time, and games. Students do have an opportunity to work on homework assignments and each week students have opportunities to earn Mystery Motivators such as movie day, field games and more. There is an additional fee for this program.
Private lessons are available in piano, flute, voice, violin, viola, and guitar for our youngest students, as well as group Chinese lessons.
As another after school option, Lower School students can choose to meet weekly to participate in ACE (After Class Enrichment) programs such as Rainbow Loom, Soccer,Theater, Art, Basketball, Girls on the Run, Stride, Lego(R) and more. These programs are offered during two different 8-week sessions and usually meet for an hour each week. These once-per-week options in our ACE programs are unique and fun for students and give them an option to stay on campus all while having fun. There is an additional fee for this program. Participants must be enrolled as current students at Cape Fear Academy.
