Cape Fear Academy’s Summer Programs offer engaging, educational and exciting opportunities for a positive summer experience. This year, we are excited to offer new STEM programs, more sports options, and enrichment programs that think outside of the box.

Summer Programs will offer an extended care option for those only attending a morning or afternoon camp. Campers who choose to stay after their morning camp until 1 pm, or be dropped off at 12 pm before their afternoon camp, may pay a $5 convenience fee. Summer Programs will still offer Lunch Bunch at no charge for those campers attending both a morning and an afternoon camp. Lunch Bunch and Extended Care registration must take place through the Summer Programs Office only.

Please contact our Summer Program Office with questions.

Summer Programs Booklet

Cape Fear Academy is excited to be offering three sessions each year of fun and unique After Class Enrichment (ACE) for Lower School students. The ACE programs run from 2:45 – 3:45 pm on most days. Participants must be Cape Fear Academy students.

2017 Spring ACE offerings

The After School Program is available for Little Explorers through Grade 8. The goals for the After School Program include:

1. Providing a warm, nurturing environment consistent with the philosophy and mission of Cape Fear Academy

2. Providing a variety of child-centered, non-academic activities, which include free play, small group activities, and rest time.

3. Providing middle school students an opportunity to work on homework, and engage in fun, age-appropriate activities on campus, all with adult supervision.

LOWER SCHOOL AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The After School Program (ASP) is designed for our students from Little Explorers through fifth grade.

The students come to the ASP at 2:45 pm. A snack is provided followed by outside play, games, and free time. A supervised homework time is also scheduled.

Lower School ASP Fees (based on 9 month program):

A 2:45–4:30 pm $150/month

B 2:45–5:30 pm $215/month

C Part Time- availability based on full-time program participant registration $15 per day (see separate registration form)

MIDDLE SCHOOL AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM 2015-2016

The Middle School After School Program (ASP) is designed for our students from sixth-eighth grades. Students come to the ASP at 3:20 pm. A snack is provided followed by homework time, recreational time outside or in the gym, games, and free time.

Middle School ASP Fees (based on 9-month program):

A 3:20–4:30 pm $105/month

B 3:20–5:30 pm $175/month

The ASP is not designed to be a continuation of our academic program. We feel that our students benefit from sufficient academic structure during the regular school day. Instead, the students will have opportunities for additional supervised recreational activities that will vary in nature, fulfilling their developmental needs. The ASP follows the regular school calendar. No sessions are held when Lower School is not in session. Fees are determined on a yearly basis and divided into nine equal payments; therefore, December is the same price as October even though there are fewer school days due to the holidays. Fees are due at the beginning of each month. Delinquent fees may result in dismissal from the After School Program until all past dues are paid.
