Community Service - Middle School

Giving to others is a year-round consciousness in the Middle School. Clothing and food drives, bake sales, and campus cleanup efforts are just a few examples of regularly-planned activities. By the spring of the eighth grade year, students are trained in particular areas of service and are teamed with other students to spend several days off-campus conducting service work. They volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, Elderhaus, Headstart, and the New Hanover Humane Society, among other options. They return from this experience with new and broader insights into the larger world and the profound needs of others.

Students also perform community service through advisory groups.
