We are pleased to announce the appointment of Leigh Ann Hodges as Cape Fear Academy’s new Director of College Counseling beginning July 1, 2023.
A native of Greenville, North Carolina, Hodges graduated from East Carolina University (BS in Communication) and Liberty University (MA in Counseling), and has worked in various roles, including six years in college counseling, at Cape Fear Academy in preparation for this opportunity to lead the College Counseling Department.
Hodges is currently the Associate Director of College Counseling and Senior Class Advisor. She sits on a number of university counseling advisory boards, is a founding member of the ILM Counseling Consortium and a member of the Southern and National Associations for College Admission Counseling. She is also a Wilderness First Responder. Hodges’ early career included roles as Varsity Cheer Coach and Faculty Dance Team Captain extraordinaire. Prior to discovering her passion for assisting students and families as they navigate the college admission process, she was Next Media’s Promotions and Marketing Manager of eight radio stations.
All Cape Fear Academy’s Class of 2024 students will work directly with both Hodges and the new Associate Director of College Counseling during their senior year.
