Aurelia Colvin ’23 Wins MLK Essay Contest

Congratulations to seventh grader Aurelia Colvin, who won the MLK Essay Contest “What is your view from the mountaintop? What does the promised land look like? What do you think would have happened if Dr. King had come to Wilmington?” The judges chose her entry out of 214 essays received from 6-8th grade students all over New Hanover County! Her essay will be printed in an upcoming issue of the Wilmington Journal.
She attended the MLK commemoration event on April 4 with Head of School Don Berger, and MS Social Studies teacher Nathan Gergel. What an incredible accomplishment!
