CFA Student’s Science Project Leads to U.S. Patents and Cover Story for Inventor’s Digest

When CFA freshman Samantha Melin was in sixth grade, her science teacher, Ms. Jamie Bonetti, gave her class the science fair project instructions:  develop an invention that betters or improves something regular people face in day-to-day life. At age 12, Sam created her project and won the science fair.  

The next part of the story? She applied for and acquired a patent  – and then established a new business!
