Congratulations to all of the Cape Fear Academy students who participated in the North Carolina National History Day competition at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh on Saturday, April 27.
Results from the competition involving hundreds of projects in NC:
Katherine Meine, Aurelia Colvin: 1st place in State Group Documentary competition, and qualified for National Competition in Washington, D.C. in June.
Brooks Meine, William Dahl and JR Johnston: Qualified for State and took the prize for Best Civil Rights Era project for their documentary on Lincoln and Habeas Corpus.
Summer Xia and Proteus Zhang: Qualified for State and took 4th place in State for their exhibit on the Chinese Exclusion Act.
Fisher Ramsey, McLain Adams and Polk Baggett: Qualified for the state competition (top 2 at regionals) with their documentary on Ataturk.
