Danielle Kranchalk ’18 Recipient of Harvard University’s Faculty Scholarship

Cape Fear Academy is proud to announce that Danielle Kranchalk ’18 has been accepted to Harvard and will receive the University’s Faculty Scholarship. She will be studying Biological Sciences in the fall.

Danielle is a member of the National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, and a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Competition. Additionally, she attended North Carolina Governor’s School in 2017, and was a Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Delegate in 2016.

During her time at CFA, Danielle has been heavily involved in various campus activities, including performance and technical theater, vocal ensemble, and the High Tide Literary Magazine. Additionally, Dani served as captain of the Varsity Cross Country team, is a member of Beta Club and the Varsity Math Team, and served as Class Secretary/Treasurer her junior year. Outside of school, Danielle is involved with YMCA Youth and Government, Ripple Effect Youth Group and volunteers throughout the community.
