Ford Chappell ’20 Wins Local DAR Essay Contest

Eighth grader Ford Chappell has been named the winner of the southeastern National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest.  Ford’s entry was chosen to represent the Stamp Defiance Chapter of the DAR.  

His essay, A Colonial Family’s Reaction to the Stamp Act, was chosen from over 300 entries from area middle school students and will now go to a regional contest.
