Four Middle School Projects Advance to State Science Fair

Cape Fear Academy sixth graders made their third appearance in the Southeast Regional Science Fair on Saturday, Feb. 15, at UNCW under the leadership of CFA Middle School science teacher Chrissy Ettefagh. Ten projects from the CFA science fair in January were selected to participate in the Junior competition (grades 6-8). CFA projects represented Biological Sciences A & B, Chemistry, Earth/Environmental Science, Physics/Mathematics and Engineering.  Of those six divisions, our students placed in four divisions and are eligible to compete at the North Carolina Science & Engineering Fair in Raleigh this March.
