Middle Schoolers Complete Community Service Projects

The Middle School community service projects over the last three weeks have included on and off campus activities for students to give of themselves. The MS students were universally polite, friendly, accommodating, and encouraging. The projects included working with the Little Explorers, cleaning the decks of the USS North Carolina Battleship and volunteering at Paws Place, a no-kill, non-profit animal rescue organization located in Winnabow. They have spent days as volunteers at such places as the New Hanover County Arboretum, Special Olympics, and Mary C. Williams Elementary School.Together the middle schoolers have learned the value of their collected efforts to support our community at large.

The middle schoolers enjoyed cleaning out the cages at Paws Place animal shelter.

Some middle schoolers helped the Little Explorers with their school work.
