On Saturday, January 10, Upper School band students, along with their director, Ms. Rebecca Best, attended the NC Southeast Region All District Band competition in Clinton, NC.

This is a highly competitive event with both public and private school students competing.

Fewer than 10% of auditioning students get selected into the All District Band.

Nine students from Cape Fear Academy were selected:

Rebecca Holden, flute

Cecilia DeMoss, flute

Yasmine Henneke, bass clarinet (1st chair)

Camryn Kellogg, alto sax (1st chair)

Katherine Drew Marapese, horn

These newest members of the 2015 High School All District Band will attend the clinic on Jan. 30-31 and perform in concert at Methodist University.
