Student Conduct Successful “Bikes for the World” Collection Event

On Saturday, November 1, Cape Fear Academy students and faculty, led by the school’s Beta Club, participated in Bikes for the World .  For the event, members of the CFA and Greater Wilmington communities were encouraged to bring in a bike to campus to be sent to underprivileged families in Costa Rica. From 9 AM until 1 PM, students collected and took apart bikes to be put in a truck and taken to Washington DC, where they were to be sent to Costa Rica. With the help of  school counselors, Mrs. Tobi Ragon and Mrs. Becky Copenhaver, CFA sent 58 bikes on the truck.
