Three CFA Seniors Selected for National Honors

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the semi-finalists  for their 60th annual National Merit Scholarship Program and their National Achievement Scholarship Program.  Additionally, the College Board has announced their National Hispanic Scholars.   Winners from within the CFA senior class are:

  • Jason Atwood – National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist; one of only seven in the Greater Wilmington area.

  • Victor Agbafe – National Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist; one of 1,600 Black American high school students recognized, and the only semifinalist in the Greater Wilmington area.

  • Francesca Catania – National Hispanic Scholar; awarded by the CollegeBoard in their National Hispanic Recognition Program.

Less than 1% of all high school students receive these accolades annually. The National Merit semi-finalists have the opportunity to continue in the competition to receive scholarships from the $33 million awarded annually.  These are outstanding achievements by members of our CFA community.
