Three Seniors Sign Commitment Letters to Collegiate Athletics Programs

Three Cape Fear Academy seniors signed their commitment letters to play college athletics on Wednesday, April 17, inside the Cape Fear Academy Athletic Center.

Henry Murtagh signed his athletic commitment to play men’s lacrosse for Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ) of the Division III Empire 8 Conference. Henry is an NCISAA All-State and an all-area attackman for Cape Fear Academy. He is also a member of the Shamrocks 2019 team of the Cape Fear Lacrosse Association.

Ethan Miles signed his athletic commitment to play men’s soccer for Virginia Military Institute (Lexington, VA) of the Division I Big South Conference. Ethan is a CRC All-Conference and an all-area midfielder for Cape Fear Academy. He is also a member of 00/01 ECNL team of the Hammerheads FC Youth Soccer Club.   

Preston Meehl signed his athletic commitment to play men’s lacrosse for Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) of the Division III SAA Conference. Preston is an NCISAA All-State and first team all-area midfielder for Cape Fear Academy. He is also a member of the Shamrocks 2019 team of the Cape Fear Lacrosse Association.

These three individuals will be joining the three previously honored CFA Class of 2019 athletes Libby Moore (UNC Soccer), Holt Robison (Colgate Soccer), and Matt Kiatipis (Simon Fraser Basketball).
