Two CFA students attended the Cary High School Debate Tournament on November 8. Alyssa Baginski competed in her first-ever tournament in the challenging event, Humorous Interpretation. This event requires students to memorize and perform 7-minute speeches using multiple characters and voices. Alyssa’s dramatic flair earned her a second place ranking in her first round of competition ever and a tenth place finish overall.
Emma Wright, Speech Team Captain, competed in Oral Interpretation. Emma has served as a founding member of the team for three years, and her experience paid off. In four rounds, she placed first in her room in two rounds, and in the top three in all four rounds. Emma’s excellent performance earned her a seventh place finish.
